Who is Dreamchaser Design?
My name is Jason and I am based in Southern Indiana. I consider myself a lot of things, but this part of my life represents a full-service visual communication specialist (them’s fancy words for a graphic designer/website developer). I have mainly served clients in Indiana and Kentucky (or Kentuckiana for you locals) as well as customers throughout the U.S. I provide Branding and Identity, Graphic Design, Website Development, and a few Print jobs every now and then. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University and consider myself part of the life-long learning university. I believe in building strong relationships with customers and delivering quality results by providing personal attention to both you and your projects. After all, it’s your business.
A little of my background.
In 1993, I went to work for Jamey Aebersold. Jamey is a world-renown jazz educator and music publisher and for almost 50 years has owned and operated Jamey Aebersold Jazz, Inc. The basics of his business involves music publishing and mail order. There are two main divisions of the business including retail and wholesale.
During my tenure, I’ve been a stock boy, customer service representative, accounts receivable, accounts payable, shipper (what I sometimes jokingly refer to as a professional boxer), truck unloader guy, garbage man, landscaper, and so much more. In 2001, a co-worker left the “Aeberdungeon” to teach English in Hong Kong. I volunteered for his position and was immediately consumed into the world of Graphic Design and Website Development. I had previously been interested in this field and was more or less, simply a hobbiest. I saw this as an opportunity to further my skills and do some “real” work.
In 2002, I graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor degree in the Arts. I continued working at Jamey Aebersold Jazz as a Graphic Designer, Website Developer, Permissions Administrator and Summer Jazz Workshop Administrator … (whew!)
I did, however, take a small hiatus from Aebersold Jazz from April 2005 through August 2007. I was hired by a direct mail marking firm as a Graphic Designer and Website Developer. During that time, I learned a ton about pre-press and the printing industry in general and was able to excel in my field. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with other super-talented designers and programmers.
Here is what I do today – short and simple.
I am a freelance graphic designer and website developer.
My priorities are fixed on three things:
- 1. Doing great work
- 2. Treating my clients well
- 3. Exceeding clients’ expectations
You can expect from my work:
- Clean, uncluttered layouts and designs that are constant with today’s standards and expectations
- Building brand recognition through color schemes and consistency in design elements
- Code is organized and clean to assist with search engine optimization
- I will develop your project so you can compete in your industry.
- I will offer you solutions to the problems of your current project (if applicable).
- I will get you involved so you understand how your project works and performs.
- I will answer any question regarding your project and/or performance to the best of my ability.
I expect communication and participation from clients.
It is crucial that we communicate with you on a regular basis throughout the development of your project. If you expect to receive the project in a timely manner and wish the project to meet your expectations, you must allow appropriate time. More often than not, clients have a hard time keeping up with me! The better the communication, the easier it is to convey your message.
I encourage all clients to get directly involved in the development of your project. Learn about the tools I am using and learn about the tools YOU will be using to manage your business. The more information and knowledge you have, the better you will be able to service your customers. This will set you apart from your competitors!
Just a wee bit more …
I am not setting out to be the biggest or most cutting edge designer in the world. Good business isn’t built on such things. Good business is about delivering solutions that are sensible and that drive profit to you and your business. I will give you my best, no matter your budget. I will never sell you technology you don’t need and I will do what I promise.

This is a place for my stuff! I have spent a lot of time working on various projects, for both business and pleasure that has left me with virtually no time to do anything for myself. I do however use my website as a resource to display and discuss the various Graphic and Website projects that I have going on.
